The world is full of trans people, and — until science finds some way around it — we all have bodies. Just because you haven’t knowingly looked at a trans guy doesn’t mean you haven’t seen one. Those guys, for the most part, don’t aspire to be sexual test kitchens or proving grounds for other people’s gender. They just want to live, and, yes, maybe go swimming before the summer’s out. We’ll know we’ve made progress when everyone lets them be.
